Situated roughly 55–60 km from Bengaluru along the Tumkur Highway (NH 48), Nijagal Betta is a historic hill fort boasting heritage from the 17th-century Mysore Kingdom era. The trail begins near a rock-carved Hanuman idol, taking trekkers through a railway pass underpass, stone steps, boulder trails, and ancient defensive fort walls.
